Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We’ve been to Smoke many times and always enjoyed the great food, but this time, I want to highlight how pet-friendly this restaurant is! As soon as we arrived, they offered my fur baby a bowl of water, which we truly appreciated. Small gestures like this make a big difference! Smoke is now my favorite restaurant in Ilocos Norte. Thank you so much!"
"If you miss eating good tasty meat in the Philippines then this is the place to go. A extensive menu of smoked meats, pasta, pizzas, burgers. We ordered one of their loaded platters for each 4pax in our group of 16 We weren't disappointed. Served with a coleslaw sidesalad the meal was really good. While waiting for the food to be served you can enjoy a fantastic view of Paoay church from the veranda."
"I was blown away by this restaurant. Located at 2F inside a nice structure, with natural ventilation, well-spaced seats, and excellent service, the food has more to say. The star is their smoked beef, very tender! Their salmon in Creamy Lemon Butter is awesome! Also, I really like their Smoked Pulled Pork with their signature mix. Not to mention, their mashed potatoes are very well made. It's a good dining experience in a sunny lunch with a great view of the cathedral. The owner is also nice and engaging."
"Smoke Bar + Restaurant is a great spot for comfort food with bold flavors. I especially loved their Cajun Popcorn Shrimp, it is crispy, flavorful, and paired with an addicting dip that perfectly complements the shrimp. Their smoked meats are decent, but the smoked pork belly really stands out for me. it is juicy and well-seasoned. We also tried the baked macaroni and cheese and chicken pasta. The mac and cheese had a nice balance of flavor, cheesy but not overwhelming, and the pasta was satisfying as well. We also ordered the fresh garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette, but it wasn’t anything special. It felt more like a palate cleanser, just something to break the richness of the heavier dishes. The restaurant is located on the second floor of an old building, but once you’re inside, it has a cozy and laid-back vibe. Their staffs are very attentive as well. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving savory dishes and looking for a chill dining experience."
"Their menu offers a variety of choices, and you can't make a wrong selection. Some of our top picks, but not limited to, are the Spicy Italian Sausage with sautéed peppers and onions, Keto Lasagna, Texas Hot Links, Smoked Beef Brisket, Fresh Scampi Pasta, and Steak."
"We used to live across the street, and this was one of our 'nakaahon-ahon' treat spots—until we discovered they also have affordable options! Their service is a bit slow, and they don’t accept QR payments, bank transfers, or cards, so make sure to bring cash. What sets them apart is their flavorful and tender meat—it’s a delicious break from the usual Ilocano/Filipino food you see daily. Totally worth every penny!"
"I recently dined at Smoke Bar and Restaurant in Paoay, located on the second level of a building near the picturesque Paoay Church. The restaurant's open-air layout allows for a refreshing dining experience, complemented by natural wind and light. While I'm unsure if they have dedicated parking, we parked at the nearby Paoay Church parking area without any issues. Now, let's talk about the food – it was fantastic! I highly recommend their pasta, especially the pomodoro with shrimp. The portion size was generous, packed with plenty of meat and flavor, perfect for sharing between two people. Additionally, their chicken gumbo was a standout dish. The chicken was incredibly tender, paired with a generous mix of veggies and a hearty serving of rice, making it a satisfying meal in itself. Considering the quality and portion sizes, the prices ranging from 200 to 600 pesos were definitely worth it. Smoke Bar and Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food and a great dining experience in Paoay."
"Lovely location, in full view of the Paoay Church. No air conditioning but not a problem because of the passive cooling space. My fave was the smoked pork belly. Tender and juicy meat . The smoked pulled pork and baby back ribs were tough and a bit dry though. The staff were very accommodating and very nice."
